The proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), being developed by the world community under the auspices of the UN, provide benchmarks for eradicating poverty, protecting the environment, and empowering people and communities. Call for papers on urban disaster risk reduction

The UN’s Making Cities Resilient campaign is calling for papers on the State of Disaster Risk Reduction at the Local Level to consider experience and actions related to effective DRR at the local level. Submission deadline: 15 November 2013

Papers can be submitted to five specific topics:

a) Local patterns of risks

b) Local actions on DRR

c) Central policies for enabling local DRR actions

d)Local disaster resilience

e) Sound practices of local DRR
